On the 26th of April, The Weddings Company and Purple Pepper Catering had the pleasure of being part of the catering and planning of the wedding of Sofia and Mattias Gyllenswärd. It took place in a beautiful Hacienda in Casares. The gardens and views were spectacular although in the morning, the weather wasn’t looking too good, luckily it cleared up and the clouds went away and it ended up being a beautiful day.
Our team at TWC and Purple Pepper arrived well in advance to set up and prepare a few light snacks for the guests whilst everyone was getting ready for the day ahead. The ceremony was due to start at 3:00pm therefore we arrived at 12:00pm ready to get a lovely variety of fresh sandwiches prepared to be served for lunch at 1:00pm, this easy lunch allowed guests to come out of their rooms where they were getting ready and grab a quick snack and take it back to where they were getting ready.
The tables and chairs, which were brought in by Purple Pepper Catering, were beautiful white sets. We decorated the tables with freshly picked flowers as table centers. By 3:00pm everyone was seated and ready to finally see the beautiful bride. Sofia and Mattias walked down the isle together to a beautiful song called Liberta by Pep’s, played on guitar and sung by one of their close friends and guests. The lovely ceremony lasted about half an hour and they became man and wife!
The preparations then started on our side, the guests were having a glass of cava before they played games and the bride and groom went to the beautiful village in Casares to take their pictures. Our chef, Peter Cannon and his team started preparing the food they were having. They had chosen to use the canapés as a starter option, so four items of each canapé were placed on each table. We served a variety of delicious options such as Thai Prawns served with avocado cream, Croquettes with Serrano ham and smoked salmon blinis with sour cream and chives. For the main course Purple Pepper served rib eye steak, salmon, prawns and chicken, all cooked to perfection on the barbeque. They also had baby potatoes with mint, cucumber salad, cuscus salad, Greek salad and finally a typical green salad.

At 7:30pm the guests had all taken their seats ready for the feast. They started with the canapés and everyone gave their speeches, by 8:30pm we were ready to put out the second course. It was displayed beautifully on a table where our staff served the guests as they came up.
When all the guests were happy, Purple Pepper started to get everything packed up and ready to leave and waited for the guests to finish their main course. The mother of the groom as prepared three wonderful Raspberry and Strawberry frozen cheesecakes to be served for desert inside along with coffee and other beverages and we helped by setting the desert out on plates with a selection of berries. By midnight, Purple Pepper and The Weddings Company were ready and packed up to leave, we left the guests happily dancing the night away. Everything ran perfectly and there were no hiccups throughout the day.
